How Far Insert
- 50 tear-off sheets
Imagine patients coming to your practice for relief, and then learning that feeling better is just one of five ways they can benefit from chiropractic care! Use this 8½" by 11" tear off sheet at your consultation or report of findings.
At your consultation:
Use it to introduce the distinctions between relief, correction, maintenance, prevention and wellness. Especially with patients who have been to a chiropractor before. Expand their thinking the easy way and notice patients set higher goals for their care this time around. It’s the perfect preamble to your report.
At your report:
Check the boxes in front of each copy block and underline key phrases as you review each level of care. Describe how each stage builds on the ones before. Use it as a springboard to discuss what they can do to better support their care. Let them know that should they have a relapse they will "need to start back down here at the bottom and work your way back up."
By describing all five types of care you neutralize the common misconception that "once you go you have to go for the rest of your life." No, how far you decide to take your care is entirely up to you.
It’s up to each patient to decide how far they will take their care. But use the powerful pyramid graphic on this handout to explain what types of care you offer, and why. (And the consequences of discontinuing care as soon as they feel better.) The color scheme coordinates with our Road to Recovery chart and coordinating report form.

HOW FAR WILL YOU TAKE YOUR CHIROPRACTIC CARE?
[ ] BEING YOUR BEST
Simply put, we experience our lives through our nervous systems. That's why optimizing our spine and nervous systems is the key to becoming all that we can be. Chiropractic care and other healthy habits, create new possibilities.
[ ] EARLY DETECTION
Beyond preservation, is the realm of prevention. Periodic chiropractic checkups can help catch new problems early. This can minimize the severity of flare-ups. Those who value their health often take this proactive approach.
[ ] KEEP YOUR HEALTH
Regular chiropractic care can help maintain your progress and avoid a relapse. Your visit schedule will vary based on your age, condition and the stresses in your life. The intention is to help you preserve your progress so far.
[ ] FIX THE PROBLEM
With the most obvious symptoms reduced, many opt to continue their care. This helps stabilize and strengthen the spine. Rehabilitative care builds on the investment used to get relief and helps make changes that are more lasting.
[ ] TEMPORARY RELIEF
Many people begin here. Their ache, pain or other obvious symptom is often what prompts them to begin chiropractic care. Careful! If you stop care as soon as you feel better, before muscles and soft tissues heal, you can invite a relapse.
