Monday Morning Motivation | NP Complaint – Hygiene

Monday Morning Motivation Masthead

The 6th most commonly mentioned new patient complaint: Cleanliness.

The plandemic revealed just how germophobic the public is. And it’s probably worsened.

New patient complaints on this topic appear in two different arenas:

1. Office cleanliness.

“I am a bit sensitive to air fresheners.” “I wish you wouldn’t use so much fragrance in the office.” “The room was grotty.” “It smelled terrible.” “The carpet could do with a good clean!” “The treatment table smelled of cologne from another patient.” “The scented candle is really unpleasant.”

2. Doctor hygiene.

“The doctor needs to wash his hands in between patients as he transferred either his or the previous patient’s aftershave to my neck at my last adjustment.” “Didn't wash hands after touching previous patient’s feet.” “I was put off by the scent of cigarettes.”

Obviously, these perceptions can dramatically affect patient satisfaction and referrals. And patients rarely feel emboldened to tell you.
