A Moment of Clarity from April 26, 2021:

It’s difficult to see new possibilities if our experiences remain unchanged. New situations can provoke new ways of seeing things. Paradoxically, it’s why vacations can be so helpful in growing a practice.

Yet, many chiropractors shun vacations. They think there’s a perfect time to re-lax and re-create.

“We can’t afford it now,” they tell themselves.
“I’m too busy to leave the practice,” they brag.
“I should wait until I have more saved,” they reason.
“I’m afraid to the lose the momentum,” they worry.
“I’m not sure I even deserve a holiday,” they frown.
“I’ll lose patients,” they fear.
“It’s not a good time,” they say.

Like crop rotation, it’s crucial to remain fallow for a season, helping you to see matters from a fresh vantage point.

A vacation doesn’t necessarily require a passport and a suitcase. You just need a different environment and fresh perspective so new possibilities can emerge.
