Monday Morning Motivation Masthead

Do you have the addiction of monitoring your social media feed? It's designed to do that you know.

Keep in mind that you're only seeing posts that make the author look good. It can make our own life look rather ordinary if we're seduced by the inclination to compare ourselves with others.

Don't fall for it.

Create a list of the greatest moments in your life. The high points that give life meaning, substance and value. Those occasions which produced joy, affirmation and significance.

This will be your private highlight reel; your Best Of, your Atta Boy and Lifetime Greatest Hits list. Consult it whenever life beats you up or takes a turn for the worse.

But don't overlook those events that at the time were painful or difficult. They gave you strength, resilience and confidence. Helpful qualities. Like comedy (tragedy plus time) a similar formula produces character and wisdom.
