Monday Morning Motivation | Tumors

Consider that thing that has a hold on you.
The one lurking in the quiet moments when your guard is down.
The one you keep buried, tucked deep in your pocket.
That compels you to busily occupy yourself.
That thing.
You can’t fix what you won’t face.
What we refuse to attend to imprisons us. Our instinct is to compartmentalize—turn away, minimize, or distract ourselves from the imagined pain or discomfort. Maybe, we hope, it’ll resolve on its own. (Sound familiar?)
But what if that emotional “tumor” becomes the seed of a physical one?
Summon the courage to lift the rock and look underneath.
Take those post X-rays.
Have the difficult conversation.
Ask for the referral.
Dismiss the underperformer.
Raise your fees.
Ask for help.
Here’s what happens next:
The pain fades faster than you imagined.
Your life shifts course.
Your confidence soars.
Your resilience strengthens.
There’s freedom.
Peace.
