There's someone you should thank right about now. I don't know who it is, but you do.
Consider your circumstances as you read this. The profession you've chosen. The room you are in. The digital device you're using. The last meal you enjoyed. Someone, at some time, made a recommendation, inspired a choice, provided direction and facilitated this very moment.
That's the person whom you owe some gratitude.
This is the time of the year when we typically set aside a day to acknowledge what we are grateful for. Gratitude is the essential ingredient to ensure that we are blessed in the future. Plus, it closes the loop, affirming for someone else the risk they took on our behalf to make a suggestion and guide our life.
Because you were worth it.
Paying it forward is great but pay it backwards first. Thank them, whether parents, spouses, siblings or strangers.
