Monday Morning Motivation | The Beginner's Mind

Monday Morning Motivation Masthead

Your next new patient doesn’t know what you know.

And while it’s tempting to begin where you are, it’s more useful to begin where they are. And where are they? Heavily influenced by the prevailing allopathic mindset of our culture.

They think...

Health is how you feel – which is why most patients are in your practice. They want to feel better. They think their pain is the problem.

Blood vs. nerves – The medical model is largely about blood chemistry. They have given little thought to the neurology aspect of their symptom.

Health recovery is an event – They think their relief occurs on your adjusting table rather than what they do between visits.

Germs trump subluxations – They’re germophobes. Clean headrest paper is more important than their subluxations.

The intervention is the hero – All they have to do is show up. Do me!

You probably lost “beginner’s mind” back in chiropractic college.
