Monday Morning Motivation | Speed of Their Recovery
Posted by Bill Esteb on Dec 13th 2025
Patients imagine you control the speed of their recovery. When actually, the pace of their recovery reveals more about them, than you.
Their impatience may be because you accepted the patient on the basis you’d be treating their complaint, rather than reducing nervous system interference, reviving their ability to heal.
Or they think your three-visits-per-week “prescription” should deliver as quickly as pain meds, or at least within the limited visits doled out by their stingy insurance company.
Countless chiropractors observe that adjustments don’t seem to “work” like they did 50 years ago. And no wonder. Here’s the headwind you’re up against:
Chronic emotional stress
Sedentary lifestyle
Inadequate sleep
Deficient nutrition
Poor hydration
Industrial seed oils
Insulin resistance
Sun avoidance
Shallow breathing
Drug and alcohol use
Inflamed gums
Environmental toxins
Ungrounded
More than enough reasons to never feel defensive when patients complain about the speed of their recovery.
