Some say that time was invented so everything doesn't happen at once.

Which creates other challenges that are only partially solved with clocks. Because if we agree to meet at 3:00 PM, it can mean at least three different things.

For some it means "around" 3:00 PM.

For others it means "before" 3:00 PM.

And for still others it means "precisely" 3:00 PM.

Problems arise when you have one definition of time and a patient (or team member) has another. In fact, overlook this distinction and it can produce any number of misunderstandings, disappointments or frustrations that can taint even the best clinical results, producing one-star reviews.

"We do our best to run on time. However, from time to time we encounter patient emergencies or other issues that demand our attention. We ask for your understanding, knowing that if you should ever require special attention, we'll be here for you."
