"Our fatigue is often caused not by work but by worry, frustration, and resentment." Dale Carnegie
If you're tired at the end of the day, take an inventory of your personal boundaries. Could be you've invested your life spirit in things outside of your control.
What patients are willing to do.
What an insurance company will pay.
Whether your intervention will "work."
Whether the patient will return.
Whether scheduled patients will show.
Without minimizing the physical nature of chiropractic care, much of the fatigue chiropractors experience at the end of the day is emotional.
Worry - Which is merely praying for what we don't want. It's a way we live in the future where we are powerless.
Frustration - Which can result from wanting it more than the patient does. Care, but don't care too much.
Resentment - Which is a cousin of anger that stems from the incorrect belief that we're victims.
