Monday Morning Motivation | Build/Grow

To say what you mean, and mean what you say, be mindful of these distinctions:
Build – As in “to form by ordering and uniting disparate materials into a composite whole.”
Building a practice is something that usually occurs in the beginning.
Coming up with a name. Incorporating. Securing a lease. Painting. Purchasing software. Installing phones. Hiring a support team. Organizing a website. It’s hundreds of details designed to come together to create a healthy space in which to serve patients.
Grow – As in “to promote the development of” or “to develop to maturity.”
Growing a practice is an organic process. And like an organism, it’s an inside out process. In this regard it may “increase,” “expand,” or even “become.” Growing a practice is a combination of better headspace, time efficiencies, streamlined procedures, improved practice promotion, and let’s not forget two prerequisites: desire and perseverance.
Building is physical. Growing is spiritual.
