Implementing What We Found Video
How to Use the What We Found Video
When a new patient enters the office on the second visit, the staff greets them in the usual way and has them immediately see this pre-report video without delay. The chiropractic assistant introduces "What We Found":
"Dr. _____ would like you to see this 4-minute video before she explains what was found at your examination yesterday. This way you'll be prepared for some of the decisions you'll be making in the days and weeks ahead."
The video is started, the staff confirms that everything is working properly (including the volume) then quietly leaves the room.
If the patient is in too much pain or balks at watching a video, simply respond, "No problem, the doctor will be with you in just a few moments," and you revert to your non-video visit procedures.
If the patient is viewing the video in another room and the staff cannot hear the sound from their work area, consider using a timer to monitor the progress of the video to avoid leaving the patient alone, unattended after the completion of the video.
When the video is over the doctor enters the room to deliver the report of findings or the patient is escorted to the area of the office where it will be delivered.
