Monday Morning Motivation | Where Joy Resides

While happiness is an emotional feeling, joy is spiritual. Being joyous manifests when we are present and divinely on purpose.

Being in the present can be challenging. Unlike animals that appear to know little else than the present, we’re tempted to ruminate about the past (guilt and shame) or project ourselves into the future where fear resides. Being present is required to be and do our best; when we are completely absorbed by our circumstances and our skills match the challenge in front of us. You probably experience this while adjusting patients.

Being on purpose means we are living our destiny and aligned with an inspired pursuit. Each of us has one. If it is not being a chiropractor, keep looking. If it’s not being a healer at the front desk, keep looking. Finding and living our unique calling is amongst our most important assignments. It’s the place joy resides.
