Work Together Scripting

Suggested Onboarding Script
302 Words – Approximately two minutes
The main purpose of the Work Together handout and coordinating wall poster is to set boundaries and overcome the passivity most patients have acquired from consulting medical practitioners.
Enroll patients as partners in their care—they have things to do—and you have things to do. And while there is no guarantee that a patient will uphold their end of the bargain, you have the obligation to provide direction.
At the conclusion of the initial consultation or report, refer to the handout or poster:
“From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’re an excellent candidate for chiropractic care.”
“Before we get started, I’d like to show you how we work with our patients to get the best results.”
“First, we aim to create a relaxed, healing environment—one where you feel seen, heard, and supported. I’ll explain everything in plain English, including what I find and how I think we can help. We only use state-of-the-art chiropractic methods that are safe, gentle, and effective.”
“I’ll take the time to listen carefully and won’t make assumptions about what you want or how far you’ll take your care. Your goals matter. I’ll objectively monitor your progress as we go and report your progress.”
“We’ll charge a fair fee for our expertise and be upfront about costs. I’ll also suggest practical ways you can help yourself get well and stay well—because this is a partnership and we each have a role to play.”
“Here’s what you can do.”
“First, stay optimistic. Expect results. I’m confident we can help you, and you should be too. Follow our care recommendations and do your best to keep your appointments—consistency creates the momentum necessary to make spinal changes.”
“Use this as an opportunity to upgrade your overall health, not just fix a problem. That might mean getting better sleep, moving more, staying hydrated, and other things I’ll share with you along the way.”
“We’re relying entirely on your capacity to self-heal—so give your body the time it needs to heal—everyone responds at their own pace.”
“Keeping your account current helps us stay focused on your care. And if you’re seeing improvements, I hope you’ll tell others. We depend on our delighted patients telling others.”
“Together, we’ll make a great team. Because healing is a partnership.”
“Shall we get started?”
