Powerful Graphic Illustrates Their Recovery
The Recovery Insert is the take-home version of our popular wall chart.
It's an essential report of findings handout, packed with significance—from the colors and the shape of each line, to the visit frequency dots.
Write on it. Annotate it. Circle the fork in the road at Decision Time. Use it to bring your report of findings to life:
- Shows the consequences of stopping care too soon
- Provides a visual metaphor for predicting a relapse
- Explains that value of care beyond symptom relief
- Increases patient retention and follow through
- Lays the groundwork for ongoing wellness care
Unpack the nuances of this handout and add your annotations during your report.
The Squiggly Lines
Notice that in the lower left corner there are three recovery tracks as Relief Care begins. The upper path represents faster recovery. The bottom dips down to show that sometimes things temporarily worsen due to recent trauma or unresolved inflammation. The middle track? Steady recovery as each visit builds on the visit before.
The Visit "Dots"
Notice that in the earliest recovery stages, visits are much closer together than in the upper reaches of wellness care. When visit dots aren’t present, a relapse is probably just around the corner!
The Color Scheme
Most patients think in terms of two types of care: visits when they have obvious symptoms (Red). And visits when they are symptom-free and maintaining or advancing their health (Green). Corrective or Rehabilitative Care are coded in Yellow. (Check out our How Far Chart and How Far Report Insert that use a similar color coding.)

Relief Care
Most patients consult our office because they have an ache or a pain. Their goal? Relief. That’s our first objective.
A thorough examination reveals areas of spinal dysfunction. Then, we offer a care plan designed to give you the best results in the shortest amount of time.
Visits are frequent during this period of intensive care. Each visit builds on the one before, so keep you appointments to get the best results.
Decision Time
When you’re feeling better, you’ll have a decision to make. Will you continue with the care necessary to fully heal soft tissues? Or abandon the investment that you’ve made so far?
When you continue your care, visits are less frequent and progress will be less dramatic. If you end your care before fully healing muscles and soft tissues, you can invite a relapse. Whatever your choice, we’re here to serve and help support you in your decision.
Wellness Care
Your health affects everything you do and everyone you know. With so many people depending on you, it makes sense to invest in your health.
A program of chiropractic checkups can help you be the loving parent, the responsive spouse, the understanding friend or the dependable employee.
Invest in your health. You’re worth it!
