Monday Morning Motivation | Time For a Staff Meeting?

Posted by Bill Esteb on Oct 22nd 2022

Do you hold regular team meetings? Here's a suggested agenda to improve communications, streamline procedures and share goals.

Reserve a consistent day and time – Consider meeting someplace other than the practice for a fresh perspective.

Rotate meeting leadership - Avoid the tendency for the doctor to monopolize the conversation and everyone merely passively listens.

Post mortem –Take an inventory of the successes as well as the system breakdowns of the previous week.

Goals and statistics - How is the practice performing? Where are you compared to last year at this time? Are we on track to reach our goals?

Case review – Review a recent case to remind everyone of the real goal: quality patient care.

Team training – Use your meetings to practice handling skeptical callers, insistent salespeople, price shoppers and the apprehensive.

Long range plans - What changes, such as fees, hours, seminars, holidays or vacations are on the horizon?
