Monday Morning Motivation | Kryptonite
Posted by Bill Esteb on Feb 7th 2026
Just as kryptonite weakened Superman, here are some common forms of chiropractic kryptonite:
Mindset – Quiet assumptions, resignation, mistrusting patients, seeing them as a constant flight risk.
Seeking approval – Being friends rather than friendly. Trading respect for being liked is rarely a fair exchange.
Feeling “less than” – Self-doubt, often fueled by comparison.
Lack of certainty – Inconsistent adjusting skills, drifting toward symptom-focused care.
Fear – Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of abandonment, and all the others.
Limited business acumen – Either learn to appreciate the business of chiropractic, or work with someone who does.
Off-putting habits – Making everything about you. Needing to be right. Talking too much.
Feeling stuck – Paralysis by analysis or searching for shortcuts.
Desperation – Discounting, deal-making, or working unsustainable hours.
Caring too much – Emotional investments that erode objectivity.
Poor boundaries – Unclear where your obligation ends and the patient’s begins.
Thankfully, each can be overcome. Because countless others already have.
